Allow certain users to bypass the 602LAN SUITE Content Filter
You can quickly block inappropriate sites with the 602LAN SUITE Content Filter, but there may come a time when you need to offer unrestricted access to a user. Maybe this user needs access to a restricted site, or you simply do not wish to limit your own Internet access. Using the 602LAN SUITE Content Filter add-on, you can easily and effectively configure 602LAN SUITE and the Content Filter to do this.
Configure the Content Filter
First, configure the Content Filter to block sites from the category list for all users. Do the following:
- In 602LAN SUITE, click Settings, then Advanced Configuration.
- Click the Content Filter tab, then the Content Filter Rules sub-tab.
- Click Add Rule, then select the categories of sites you wish to block.
- Click Add Hosts and select the Any Address option from the select list.
- Click OK, then OK again to save the rule.

Configure the Whitelist
Now, we need to define what users will be able to access sites on the web without restriction. To do this, a whitelist rule must be added:
- In 602LAN SUITE, click Settings, then Advanced Configuration.
- Click the Content Filter tab, then the Whitelist Rules sub-tab.
- Click Add Rule, then Add, and type “*” (no quotes) in the URL field. Now click OK.
- Click Add Hosts, and select Single Address from the drop down list. Enter the IP address of the user(s) you wish to grant unrestricted web access in the IP Address field, then click OK.
- Click OK, then Save to save your settings.

NOTE: To add more addresses to the list, just edit the whitelist rule and repeat steps 4 & 5.
