  1. Open 602LAN SUITE 2004, then click Settings and then Advanced Configuration.
  2. Click the Anti-Spam tab.

Train the Bayesian Filter

The Bayesian Anti-spam Filter uses adaptive technology to identify junk e-mail, so you must first train the filter to block unwanted messages. To do this, you will need to tell the filter what is junk and what is not junk. When messages are identified as junk by the Bayesian Anti-spam Filter or a user, it is sent to the Anti-spam account specified above. The Anti-spam account holder has complete control over how the filter will be trained. To do this:

  1. Login to the Web Mail Client using the account designated as the Anti-spam account.
  2. Click the checkbox to the left of the message to select it.
  3. When you have selected the appropriate message, click the Junk or Not Junk button to identify the messages as junk mail or not junk mail.

Bayesian Filter - Teaching

NOTE: If you are using a POP3/SMTP mail client such as Outlook Express or Eudora Mail, you can simply forward messages that are not junk to notjunk@junk.junk. Messages that are junk should be forwarded to junk@junk.junk.
