Empower your users to securely share documents on the Internet with eDock Server and 602Pro LAN SUITE
If you have ever wanted to setup eDock Server with LAN SUITE, this tip is for you. eDock Server is a secure document server that provides fast and convenient access to your documents from anywhere. Using eDock Server, you can provide your users with the ability to easily publish, share and distribute documents online. They can access eDock Server using a standard web browser from your local network or from the Internet. This means that they can use eDock Server to access files from remote locations.
Setting up eDock Server for use with LAN SUITE
Setting up eDock Server to use LAN SUITE as its web server is quite easy as long as you have the prerequisite information available. During the installation process, eDock Server will ask you for several pieces of information for configuration purposes. The most important information you will need to tell eDock Server is where LAN SUITE is configured to store your web pages and the CGI-BIN directory. To locate this information, do the following:
- Open 602Pro LAN SUITE
- Click Settings then Advanced Configuration.
- Click the WWW tab.
- Take note of the Script directory and Home Directory of WWW server paths. By default, these paths are C:\LANSUITE\CGI-BIN and C:\LANSUITE\DOCS.
NOTE: Step-by-step instructions for installing and registering eDock Server can be found, here.

Now you will need to access eDock Server using your administrator password and import the users:
- Open your web browser and navigate to http://yourserver.com/edock.
- Log in with your admin account and password.
