Forward incoming Fax and E-mail messages to a remote Fax Machine
This tip will show you how to forward all or a few selected e-mail and fax messages to a remote fax machine. You may also forward to an internal or Internet e-mail address by changing the address under the Action step.
Step 1: Setting up the Fax Server
- Open 602Pro LAN SUITE, click on Settings then Advanced Configuration.
- Click on the Fax tab.
- In the top left corner of the Fax Tab, check the check box that says Fax Server (This will enable the fax server in LAN SUITE).
- Click on the Users tab.
- For all users who want to send faxes, you must select User may send Fax Messages in their User Properties.
- Once all users have been assigned the Fax right, click Save.

Step 2: Accessing Web Mail through 602Pro LAN SUITE 2003
- Open your web browser.
- In the address field, type in http://addressOfLANSUITE/mail, replace the words addressOfLANSUITE with your LAN SUITE IP address or domain name (i.e. 192.168.1.1).
- You will receive the Web Mail login window. Enter your LAN SUITE user name and password.

Step 3: Setting up Your Web Mail forwarding
- Once logged into Web Mail, Click on Options at the top of the page.
- Click on Mail Rules.
- Click on Add new mail rule.
- Process: Choose when you want the Forwarding to take place by selecting one of the four options.
- Condition: Set limits on what will be forwarded (i.e. To select all do not set any Conditions). If the user is allowed to receive faxes, they may also select those to be forwarded.
- Action: This decides what will be done with the messages, for this tip we will be forwarding the messages to a remote fax machine.
- We want a copy of the messages to remain on the server so we will not select Delete when action finished.
- Leave Stop processing checked unless you have multiple rules assigned.
- Select Forward, and type in the fax address you wish to forward to in the format of faxnumber@fax.fax (i.e. 9045552222@fax.fax). If you wish to have a copy of the messages reside in your mailbox, you will want to type this in under the “CC:” field. If not, then you will only use the “To:” field.
- Click Save and properly log out of Web Mail by clicking the LogOut button.
