With the introduction of 602LAN SUITE 2004.0.07.0305 released on March 7, 2007, the dynamic web content filter engine based on PureSight technology has been updated. This update includes many performance optimizations that have increased throughput by 21% and response times by up to 300%. 602LAN SUITE Content Filter now provides enterprise-level performance on a budget.

Content Filter Throughput

Across the board all throughput statistics gained a consistent 21% increase. Total KBytes received, Total Hits and Hits per second shows how fast the content filter can move data from the Internet to the client. The following statistics were gathered from 10 threads, no delay over a 10 minute duration.

Content Filter Average Response Time

Average response times across all content types were almost 300% faster. The current version never exceeded 0.6 second average response time. The previous version exceeded 3 seconds on inital load. Response times show how long it takes for the content filter to dynamically analyze the web content from the Internet and serve it to the client.
