Manage Personal Home pages with the built-in WWW server
Setting up the web server is a snap. It takes just seconds to start hosting your own web pages without the need for high-priced Web Hosting Services.
Enable the Web Server
To enable 602Pro LAN SUITE’s built-in Web Server:
- Click on the WWW Tab.
- Click the WWW server checkbox if it is not already checked.

Setup User Home Pages
User directories are created when you add users to the Users tab. Each user has his/her own directory on the WWW server where they can publish their own personal web pages. These pages can be accessed via http://www.yourdomain.com/~username/

Display Your User Pages in an Index Directory
You can create an index directory with links to your user homepages. This index page is accessible at http://www.yourdomain.com/users/. To create an index directory do the following:
- On the Users tab, click the Create HTML page with list of user pages button.
- Uncheck any users you would like to remove from the directory. By default, all users are included.
- Click OK.

Updating User Home Directories
Users can update their web pages using the following methods:
- Copy files directly to the server: If the Home directories are shared on your network, users can copy their HTML documents directly to their home folders.
- HTML Editor PUBLISH function: Users can upload documents via an HTTP PUT capable HTML editor such as Netscape Navigator’s HTML Editor.
- FTP: Users can access their home directory via FTP. Any user designated as an Administrator has default access to the home directory of the WWW server. Users with Administrator right can access their home directory only if the folder is located in the same location as the home directory of the WWW server.
NOTE: Using HTTP or FTP requires a valid username and password.
