If you would like to monitor employee Internet usage, this tip will show you how to run ActiveReports from the web to generate HTML reports. 602LAN SUITE build 2004.0.05.0413 or later provides the ability to configure, run, and view reports created with ActiveReports via remote administration. This powerful tool makes it easier than ever to keep track of employee Internet usage.

Configure ActiveReports from remote administration

Before you begin, you should enable remote administration on 602LAN SUITE. Instructions for doing this can be found in our Knowledge Base, here. You can configure ActiveReports from remote administration in 602LAN SUITE by doing the following:

1. Access 602LAN SUTIE Remote Administrator from your web browser (e.g. https://192.168.1.1/admin).
2. Login using a 602LAN SUITE user account with Administrator access.
3. Click the Statistics button at the top of the page.
4. Click the ActiveReports folder on the left side of the screen.
5. From here, you may perform tasks such as: configuring users & IP addresses, defining what statistics are tracked, e-mail
   alerts, etc.

Run ActiveReports from remote administration

You can instruct ActiveReports to analyze your log files on-demand from the Remote Administration tool. Here’s how to do it:

1. Access 602LAN SUTIE Remote Administrator from your web browser (e.g. https://192.168.1.1/admin).
2. Login using a 602LAN SUITE user account with Administrator access.
3. Click the Statistics button at the top of the page.
4. Click the ActiveReports folder on the left side of the screen.
5. Click Run to begin creating the reports.

!!WARNING!! This process may take a while to complete, depending on how much data needs to be processed. When ActiveReports is complete, the report will automatically appear. In addition, you can instruct ActiveReports to run at a specific time. To do this, click the Setup button at the top, then click the ActiveReports link on the left side of the screen.

View ActiveReports from remote administration

If you wish to view the existing report, do the following:

1. Access 602LAN SUTIE Remote Administrator from your web browser (e.g. https://192.168.1.1/admin).
2. Login using a 602LAN SUITE user account with Administrator access.
3. Click the Statistics button at the top of the page.
4. Click the ActiveReports folder on the left side of the screen.
5. Click View ActiveReports.
