Use 602LAN SUITE with built-in BitDefender anti-virus to protect your network from zero-day threats
602LAN SUITE’s BitDefender anti-virus engine will protect you from the latest viruses, trojans, worms and other malicious software if the anti-virus definitions are kept up-to-date. If the definition files are not current, any new threat or variant of an old threat may not be successfully identified by the anti-virus engine, which puts you at risk. Software602 provides anti-virus definition updates from BitDefender within one hour of release to provide you with the best zero-day virus protection.
Enable BitDefender anti-virus scanning
First, enable 602LAN SUITE Anti-virus. If the anti-virus engine is not enabled, 602LAN SUITE will not scan e-mail it receives for viruses. To enable anti-virus scanning, do the following:
- In 602LAN SUITE, click Settings, then Advanced Configuration.
- Click the Anti-virus tab.
- Click to add a checkmark to the Check delivered e-mail messages using 602LAN SUITE anti-virus checkbox.
- Click Save to save your settings.

Change the update frequency for anti-virus definitions
602LAN SUITE BitDefender anti-virus can be updated as often as ever hour, which ensures that your network is safe from the latest Internet threats. To enable automatic downloading of anti-virus definition updates, do the following:
- In 602LAN SUITE, click Settings, then Advanced Configuration.
- Click the Anti-virus tab, then the Updating sub-tab.
- Click to add a checkmark to the Enable automatic Anti-virus Updates every X hours option.
- Change the value for how often 602LAN SUITE will check for anti-virus updates to 1 (one) hour. This is done
by changing the value from the default 24 hours to 1 (one) hour. - Click Save to save your settings.

602LAN SUITE will now automatically download and install anti-virus updates every hour!
