Use aliases to effectively route incoming e-mail
Use 602Pro LAN SUITE’s aliasing abilities to automatically distribute incoming e-mail to multiple users, monitor e-mail use for abuse, or receive e-mail for multiple domains.
Automatically duplicate incoming e-mail
You can easily setup user aliases to duplicate incoming e-mail sent originally to ONE recipient to MULTIPLE users.
To add an alias to an account:
- Launch 602Pro LAN SUITE.
- Click the Settings menu.
- Then go to Advanced Configuration and choose the Users tab.
- Select a user and click Properties.
- In the Alias field, type in the e-mail alias.

E-mail distribution: To distribute e-mail from a general mailbox like sales, support, accounting, etc., to multiple users, just add the mailbox name to the Alias field of all users who should receive a copy.
E-mail monitoring: To monitor incoming e-mail of a specific user, enter the user name of the user into the Alias field of the administrator account that will be monitoring this e-mail.
Multiple domain name support for incoming e-mail
With 602Pro LAN SUITE, you can collect e-mail from multiple POP3 servers for multiple domains. Then use aliases to deliver them to user mailboxes. For example, if you have a user name john, who already receives his company e-mail as john@company.com, and you have a second domain name called, company2.com, the only way john will receive e-mail for the second domain is if john@company2.com is added to the Alias field of user name john.
To configure POP3 settings:
- Launch 602Pro LAN SUITE.
- Click Settings, then Advanced Configuration.
- Click on the POP3 tab.
- Click on the Add button.
- Add the POP3 server name, the Login name and Password to the appropriate fields. Make sure the Received messages deliver to option is set to according to the address. When you are satisfied with your selections, click Save.

NOTE: If LAN SUITE is unable to determine who the e-mail is for, the e-mail will be delivered to all users who have the right, Route unsorted messages to this user.
