A Windows service starts when Windows is booted and runs in the background as long as Windows is running. You may have programs such as anti-virus software that run when you login, but the real difference is that a service does not require you to log into the machine to run. 602LAN SUITE can be installed as a service, eliminating the need to log into the computer and manually launch the software.

602LAN SUITE Content Filter provides a powerful blacklist feature that allows you to specify what file types a user can or cannot access through the proxy server. This can be used to help protect your network from being infected with viruses from a web download, but can also be helpful to prevent users from wasting time downloading unauthorized files such as music, videos and other software.
