Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Jacksonville Beach, FL

Required Technical Skills: Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Windows Server 2000/2003, Microsoft Outlook 2002-2007, Thunderbird, working knowledge of IP based networking, Firewalls, Mail Servers, Groupware functions, Anti-spam, SQL and XML technology.

Job Description: Software602 is looking for an individual who will provide customers with comprehensive technical information, upgrade recommendations, pre-sales and post-sale support. Primary directive will be to help current business customers upgrade from 602LAN SUITE 2004 to the new 602LAN SUITE 5.0 Groupware technology. This individual must use time effectively to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve positive sales growth. Strong interpersonal and communication skills together with strong technical background are required. This position provides a competitive salary, health benefits and retirement. • Answer inbound e-mail and phone calls from end users regarding Software602 products and purchasing.
• Provide quotes on products for customers, assess needs and resources and recommend appropriate solutions based on Software602's product line.
• Perform customer follow up via e-mail or phone on quotes and sales, resolving problems, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting technical problems.
• Discover sales opportunities within inbound leads and pursue appropriately.
• Provide online presentations and web conferencing.
• Will work independently or as part of a small group (2-3 other engineers).
• Meet or exceed objectives on a quarterly basis.
• Coordinate with appropriate company departments on product development and bug reporting.
• Assist in the creation of content for brochures, advertisements and the company web site.
• Maintain awareness of new products, technology, changes in the industry and any changes in competitors' situations (new versions, price changes, etc.).
• Ongoing education in general technical knowledge, communication and Software602 products.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 2+ years of experience in technology sales and/or in an occupation related to software or computer distribution, sales or support.
• Hands-on experience with a Groupware solution (e.g Microsoft Exchange or similar technology).
• A desire to combine technical knowledge with sales skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be a fast learner and quickly respond to the Internet and software industry changes.
• Ability to learn autonomously on how to install, use and administer all Software602 products within a short period of time.
• Ability to work well independently; self-motivated.
• Familiar with up-to-date software and Internet technologies.
