Keeping your software up-to-date ensures that you have the latest and most secure technology available for your network. 602LAN SUITE Anti-virus Edition provides automatic anti-virus definition updates and software updates in a snap.

Automatic anti-virus definition updates

It is extremely important to update your anti-virus definitions at least once per day. Having the latest anti-virus definitions installed will ensure that your network will be protected from the latest Internet threats. 602LAN SUITE Anti-virus Edition has the ability to update your anti-virus definitions automatically, which saves you time while protecting your users. Here’s how to set it up:

1. In 602LAN SUITE 2004, click Settings, then click Advanced Configuration.
2. Click the Anti-virus tab, then the Updating sub tab.
3. You will now be presented with the Anti-virus updating options. Click to add a checkmark to the Enable automatic
   Anti-virus Updates every 24 hours option. This will enable automatic updates.
4. Click Save to save your settings.

NOTE: The Anti-virus update interval can be changed to any value between 1 and 99999 hours.

Automatic software updates

Any PAID version of 602LAN SUITE 2004 provides the automatic update feature to ensure you have the latest build of the software that is available. It is just as important to keep your 602LAN SUITE software up-to-date as it is your anti-virus definitions. The updates provided by the automatic update feature only the download updated files, which saves bandwidth and shortens download and install time. To set up 602LAN SUITE to download updates automatically, do the following:

1. In 602LAN SUITE 2004, click Settings, then click Advanced Configuration.
2. Click the Update tab.
3. Click to add a checkmark to the Check for a new 602LAN SUITE update every 7 days option, then click the
   Download update and send notification e-mail to administrator(s) radio button.
4. Click Save to save your settings.

602LAN SUITE will now download the updates automatically and notify the administrator via e-mail when the software is ready to be installed. To install, simply go back to the Update tab, then click Install Update and follow the on-screen instructions to install the new update.
