Easily obtain and analyze server usage statistics
Use 602Pro LAN SUITE’s logging ability to review e-mail use, web site traffic, abuse of services, proxy use by your LAN users or use it to troubleshoot technical difficulties.
General statistics
You can easily get an overview of general statistics such as the number/size of e-mail messages sent though the SMTP/POP3 server, byte amount sent/received through the PROXY/SOCK server and the number of hits and bytes sent by the WEB server directly from console or web administrator.
To access the statistics page from the LAN SUITE console:
- Launch 602Pro LAN SUITE.
- Click the Server menu.
- Finally click Statistics.

NOTE: To access the statistics from Remote Administration, simply click on the Statistics icon at the top of the web administrator.
Detailed log files
Complete logs can be kept for all server activities: WWW, Proxy, SMTP, POP3, LDAP, Fax and DHCP. This can be useful for many reasons (i.e. investigating abuse on your server or troubleshoot technical difficulties). LAN SUITE’s log files are standard text file and can be opened with an ordinary text reader such as Notepad or reviewed directly from the console.
To configure your log file settings:
- Launch 602Pro LAN SUITE.
- Click Settings, then Advanced Configuration.
- Click on the Logs tab.
- In the Log messages from section, select the LAN SUITE services you want to log.
- When you are satisfied with your selections, click Save and LAN SUITE will begin logging all information according to your configuration immediately.

To view log files:
- Open My Computer and click on the C: drive.
- Navigate to the LANSUITE directory.
- Locate today’s log file. This file will be named s[TODAYSDATE]i.log where [TODAYSDATE] is date when the log file was created (i.e. The log file for December 3, 2002 would be named s120302i.log).
- Right click the log file and select Open With, then select Notepad from the list.

Simplify log file analyzation using a log analyzer
W3C log file format compatibility is available for the web server, HTTP proxy and HTTP proxy cache. To analyze W3C log files a log analyzation tool is required. 123LogAnalyzer is recommended to all LAN SUITE users for its easy-of-use, speed and value. This easy to use program will generate a detailed HTML report containing many useful statistics that can tell you where your web site users are coming from, what country they are in, and even what browser and operating system they are using! You can also use this tool to audit proxy usage to see how the users are spending their time online.
