Software602 Groupware Server provides a simple alternative to Microsoft Exchange Server. Groupware Server integrates BitDefender anti-virus scanning, Commtouch real-time anti-spam protection, e-mail archiving, full-text search and an unattended backup service. Everything is accessible from a standard web browser, or use the native Outlook Connector for online and offline collaboration.

Native Outlook Connector

With the Outlook Connector easily access native Mail, Calendar, Tasks, Notes, and Journal items. You can also view the mail archive from Outlook as well. Do the following:

1. Login to the Groupware Client.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Plug-ins.
4. Download and install the Outlook Connector.
5. Run Microsoft Outlook.

NOTE: When using the Outlook Connector, all Mail, Calendar, Tasks, Journal, and Notes items will be stored on the server after synchronization.

Full-text search from the Groupware Client

If you need to search the content of an e-mail, task, calendar or document stored on the server, you can use the full-text search capabilities to quickly find the item you are looking for. Do the following:

1. Login to the Groupware Client.
2. Click Mail at the top.
3. Enter the desired search term in the bottom left Search box (or click Advanced Search) and press enter (or click the checkbox icon).
