Use Print2PDF Server Edition as an Adobe PDF generator server with multiple watched folders

Print2PDF Server Edition now includes the Folder2PDF application that can provide multiple watched folder configurations. 1. Click Start, then Programs or All Programs.
  2. Click the Print2PDF Server Edition program group, then Folder2PDF.
  3. Configure Folder2PDF to handle the PDF files as appropriate (see screenshot below).
  4. When finished, click File, then Save Configuration to save your .INI file.

  2. Click the Print2PDF Server Edition program group, and open the Service sub-folder.
  3. Run the Install Folder2PDF Service shortcut. This will add the Folder2PDF Service Manager to the Windows Services.
  4. Run the Start Folder2PDF Service shortcut. This will start the Folder2PDF Service Manager.

Windows Services - Folder2PDF Service Manager

NOTE: The above steps will install and run the service as the Local System account. Some applications are not supported (e.g. Microsoft Office) or may not function properly (e.g. Autodesk DWF Viewer) in this configuration. To avoid conversion problems it is required to run the Folder2PDF Service Manager from a user account. Read the user manual for more details.

Add configurations to the Folder2PDF service

Once the configurations (.INI files) have been created, you will need to add them to the Folder2PDF Service Manager. Do the following to add the configurations:

  1. Click Start, then Programs or All Programs.
  2. Click the Print2PDF Server Edition program group, and open the Service sub-folder.
  3. Click the Launch Folder2PDF Service Manager icon.
  4. Click the Add Configuration… button, then double-click the .INI file you would like to add.
  5. To start the process, click to add a checkmark to the checkbox in the Start column next to the configuration you would like to start.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add and start other configurations.
