With the Outlook Connector, you can continue using Microsoft Outlook, the most popular messaging client, without the need to invest in Exchange Server. Gain group collaboration and data security benefits provided by 602LAN SUITE Groupware.
Real-time Synchronization
The Outlook Connector provides real-time, two-way synchronization of mail, contacts, tasks, calendar events, notes and journal items between Outlook (2002/2003/2007) and the Groupware server. Offline mode is supported, so work seamlessly, even when not connected to the network.
Flexible Licensing
The Outlook Connector is an add-on to a Groupware user license. You can purchase an Outlook Connector license for the number of users that actually need the native Outlook collaboration features. It is not required for the Groupware user license and Outlook Connector user license amount to match. You do not need the connector for IMAP/POP3 access.
Shared Calendar and Tasks
Manage your private calendar or share your calendar information with others. When an event or appointment is due, a pop-up will remind you in Outlook or the web client. Therefore, no important event is ever missed, even when connected from a remote location.
Shared Contacts
Your important business contacts are stored on the server and can be accessed from Outlook or the web client. Public contacts are accessible by anyone in the organization, private contacts are managed by the user, and shared contacts can be controlled with user permissions.
ActiveSync Support
Stay up-to-date with your smartphone or mobile device. The Outlook Connector works seamlessly with ActiveSync version 3.8 and 4.5.
Data Security
Once the connector is installed on the client computer all Outlook data is synchronized to the server. Since all data is stored on the server, moving or migrating to a new Outlook installation will not result in data loss.
Secure and Open Protocols
Industry standard SMTP and IMAP protocols provide an open communication channel. SSL SMTP and SSL IMAP are also supported to further secure communication between the client and server.
Multilingual Support
The Outlook Connector is localized in multiple languages. When using system-level folders (such as Calendar, Contacts, etc.) the user will see these folders in their native language (if using a localized version of Outlook). We provide support for English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Danish, Turkish, and Portuguese. Additional language support is available on request, contact us for details.
